MICHELLE'S MAKEUP BAG

I am so excited to have my own little spot here to share with you tips and tricks for makeup. Like I have said before, I am makeup OBSESSED. I love playing around with different looks and it amazes me how one little trick can transform your face. The posts that I will write won’t be to diminish my belief that inner beauty is the most beautiful kind. Simply, I want to help you feel comfortable on the outside and give you knowledge to look your very best. After I learned how to do my hair, my makeup, and take care of myself better I felt more confident and it allowed me to be strengthened. I wish the same for you!

  YOUNIQUE 3D FIBER LASH MASCARA
11.08.14

I am so excited to be writing the post because everyone NEEDS to try this new mascara, Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara. It. Is. Amazing. I have seen countless parties on FaceBook for the mascara and I was always a little skeptical. I wasn't sure if I wanted to give it a try because a lot of times it looked clumpy. And clump mascara is NEVER good.
So I put it off for a while... But then my amazing neighbor gave me 3D mascara to try and I instantly fell in love. I often times wear false lashes when I have a special occasion and lets be honest, it can be very annoying. False eyelashes weigh your eyes down and can be bothersome. While I will still wear false lashes on occasion I find Younique is perfect for when you want those amazing lashes but don't want to bother with the glue and annoyance of false lashes. Younique doesn't weigh your eyes down and it makes my lashes so long!
How does Younqie work you might ask? Well it is all pretty simple. When you get the mascara it comes in a cute little carrying case with two different tubes. Each one is for a special step in the process. The longer tube is a transplanting gel and the smaller one is natural fibers. You apply the mascara in a three-step process.

Step 1- Apply the transplanting gel. The gel is very similar to normal mascara and is black.
Step 2- Then apply the natural fibers. You want to make sure that you put the fibers on before the transplanting gel dries. I like to use about two dips per eye to make the fullest look possible.
Step 3: After the fibers are applied you use the gel again to seal those them. If you desire you can do the process all over again to add even more length and volume. I like two good applications but that is more a personal preference.

A few tips and tricks that I have learned

-If desired you can use your regular mascara before to help separate lashes.

-Make sure you lashes are separated well before you use the transplanting gel.

-Don’t use too much fiber on your lashes. You need to make sure that it is nice and even and that the fibers aren’t clumped together because it will look even more clumped with the gel on top.

-Practice. Like any new makeup technique, don’t give up if the first application doesn’t go perfectly. When I learn a new technique I often try it out a few times to get more comfortable before I wear it out in public. This helps me feel more confident.

-If desired you can use your regular mascara before to help separate lashes.

Over all, I love my Younique Moodstruck 3D fiber lashes mascara. It is a little pricey at 29 dollars but I think it is worth the investment. You don't have to use it all the time so you could even alternate between regular mascara and this. However, I have heard that Younique mascara lasts for 3 months which is great!

If you want to try it here is a link to my friend/neighbors page =)

Let us know if you try it and love it or try it a don't love it...

 7 EVERYDAY BEAUTY PRODCUTS
11.10.14

I am often asked what products I use everyday for makeup. With five kids I try to keep it pretty simple when I am getting ready so I have picked 7 products that I use daily for my makeup. Here is the low down on these products.

-Mary Kay CC Cream: I love this this product because it is excellent for everyday use. It gives you the perfect amount of coverage without feeling too heavy on your skin. It comes in four different shades. I use the "very light" because of my fair skin. It also has 8 benefits:

• Protects
• Brightens
• Corrects with lightweight coverage
• Minimizes redness
• Conceals
• Hydrates
• Reduces visible signs of aging
• Defends

Could you ask for more?

Price: $20

-Physicians Formula Bronzer: This is my drugstore favorite. I love me a good bronzer and this is one that I have been using for years now. The only thing with this one is that you need to be careful not to overload your face when applying because this one is shimmery. I love adding a little shimmer to my daily look to brighten up my skin. I also find this bronzer perfect for all seasons. I use it in the color "Vegas Strip".  This bronzer also comes in many other colors that you can match to your skin tone to create a prefect glow.

Price: $9.79 @ Target

-Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara: I am a total mascara snob. Nothing is more important to me than a good mascara to enhance my lashes. I have used a ton of mascaras and I have found that the Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara is one of the best. I have had a hard time with drugstore mascaras in the past because I wear contacts and I feel like they flake a lot. With this mascara I never have a problem. It doesn't irritate my eyes at all. It does, however, give me long gorgeous lashes!

Price: $15

-Mary Kay Moonstone Shadow: For my everyday look I prefer to keep it simple and use only one eye shadow. I most look for a shadow that has a touch of shimmer (because I love it so much) and a color that can go with everything. Currently I have been using Mary Kay's "Moon Stone". It has great pigment and brightens my eyes while covering the veins in my eyelids.

Price: $7

-NYX Auto Brown Pencil: We all know I haven't seen my natural hair color in a while. Therefore, I need something to adjust my browns to whatever color I change to. Currently, I am a redhead (and loving it) and I use the NYX Auto Brown Pencil in "Taupe Brown". I originally bought this when I was a blonde but it had such a red tint to it I couldn't use it. Now that I have red hair I have found it is perfect. I like it because it goes on smoothly and has a little brow brush connected to help get those brows in line.

Price: $4.49 at Target

-Rosebud Perfum Co. Rosebud Salve: Love love love this for the lips. It is so soft and smells good. I use it when on shoots too because it helps moisturize your lips. You can also you it on any dry spots.

Price: $6 at Sephora

-Mary Kay Moisturizer: I started using Mary Kay's TimeWise system two years ago and it is amazing. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and nice. Having good makeup requires having a good base for your makeup. This moisturizer is one of the best I have tried.

Price: $24

This is my simplest makeup routine that is easy to apply. In fact, it takes me about 7 minutes to apply. If you don't want to wear heavy makeup everyday this is the best option for you!

P.S. Leave a comment for a chance to win a MASCARA from MARY KAY!
